Having moved from Dublin to Paris over two years ago, I embraced the opportunity to visit the many museums Paris has to offer and I have now become somewhat of a museum junkie. Paris not only has a wealth of world class paintings on permanent display but it also has the ability to attract iconic paintings for temporary exhibitions from world renowned museums and private collections right across the globe. I not only love to see these paintings but I also love to find out something about the artist who painted them, the times they lived in and the circumstances surrounding the execution of the paintings. Somewhere along the way, I began to keep a journal and I discovered how much I enjoyed writing about these museum visits. This interest has led me to blogging so that I can share these experiences with other like minded museum goers or with those who simply like to read about them. I hope my blog, which will gave regular posts, is of interest and I would welcome any feed back from potential readers.
